Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival & Exploring Marrakech

Your journey begins with a guided city tour of Marrakech. Discover the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square, the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, bustling souks, and historic palaces. Stroll through the modern district of Gueliz, and relax in the serene Menara and Majorelle Gardens before settling into a traditional riad.

Travel across the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping at the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a famous filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate to explore the Atlas Film Studios and a local Kasbah, then pass through the fragrant Valley of Roses before reaching Dades Gorge for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to the dramatic Todra Gorge, a paradise for nature lovers. Continue through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, known for its fossils and artisan workshops, before visiting the lively market town of Rissani. By evening, arrive in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara, where you’ll spend the night in a riad or hotel.

Spend the day discovering the magic of the Sahara. Enjoy camel trekking or a 4×4 desert tour, and visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music. At sunset, ride camels into the dunes and settle into a Berber desert camp. The evening features a traditional dinner under the stars with tribal music and campfire entertainment.

Wake early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise, then return by camel to your hotel for breakfast. Drive north via Rissani, Erfoud, and the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Midelt for lunch before continuing to Fes, where you’ll overnight in a riad.

Explore Morocco’s spiritual capital, beginning with the impressive Royal Palace gates and the historic Jewish quarter. Visit landmarks such as the University of Al Quaraouine, the Bou Inania Madrasa, tanneries, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Spend the afternoon wandering through the bustling medina before dinner at a local restaurant.

Discover the three faces of Fes: Fes el Bali (the UNESCO World Heritage old medina), Fes el Jdid (home to the Mellah), and the French-built Ville Nouvelle. Later, journey to Morocco’s capital Rabat, then continue to Casablanca, the country’s modern hub.

In Casablanca, visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, before enjoying a final lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, return to Marrakech, where your tour concludes.
