Your 2 day Zagora desert tour starts early in the morning with pickup from your accommodation
or Marrakech airport. We begin by crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the
Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m altitude), passing through traditional Berber villages and panoramic viewpoints.
Our first major stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy a short guided walk through this historic ksar, which has served as a filming location for major
Hollywood productions such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and the TV series Game of Thrones.
After lunch at Ait Ben Haddou or in Ouarzazate, we continue our journey through the
Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and following the lush Draa Valley.
This valley is home to Morocco’s longest river and the country’s largest palm grove.
In the afternoon, we arrive in Zagora Desert, where you will enjoy a memorable
camel trekking experience across the dunes. Admire the stunning desert sunset before reaching
your Sahara desert camp.
The evening is spent enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by live Berber drum music and dancing
around the campfire beneath a breathtaking starry sky. Overnight in a luxury desert camp with private facilities.
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the Zagora dunes, followed by a camel ride back
from the camp and a warm Moroccan breakfast.
We then depart toward Ouarzazate, known as “The Gate of the Desert”.
