Itinerary
DAY 1 : Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes
Your journey begins with a transfer from your hotel to visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. From there, we depart for Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to explore the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower. Afterward, we continue to Meknes, where dinner is served at a local restaurant overlooking the square opposite Bab el Mansour gate, followed by an overnight stay at a hotel.
DAY 2 : Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast, explore Meknes, including its main square, Bab el Mansour, the Royal Granaries, and the city ramparts. We then travel to Fes via Volubilis, stopping to explore the Roman ruins and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, an important pilgrimage site. The day ends with an overnight stay in Fes.
DAY 3 : Exploring Fes – Guided Tour
Discover the oldest city in Morocco with a guided tour through the Medina. Visit the Royal Palace gate, the first Jewish Mellah, Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, explore local cooperatives and enjoy panoramic views of the city before returning to your Riad for the night.
DAY 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
Drive through the Middle Atlas, stopping in Azrou to explore the cedar forest and see the Berber apes. Continue past Midelt and the Ziz Valley, with a brief stop in Erfoud, then proceed to Rissani and finally arrive in Merzouga, where you spend the night in a local hotel.
DAY 5 : Merzouga – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi
Explore the Erg Chebbi desert and experience nomadic life. Visit Khamlia village to enjoy Gnawa music, have lunch in Rissani with a traditional Berber pizza, and ride camels over the dunes at sunset. Overnight in a desert camp with a Tagine dinner, local mint tea, and music under the stars.
DAY 6 : Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then freshen up at a hotel before traveling to Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch, drive through the Dades Valley, admiring the “Monkey Toes” geological formations, and stay overnight in Dades Valley.
DAY 7 : Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Travel through the Path of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at Kalaat Mgouna in the Valley of Roses. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous film location, then continue over the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass to Marrakech for an overnight stay.
DAY 8 & 9 : Marrakech Guided Tour
Explore Marrakech’s main attractions, including Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. Visit the modern district of Gueliz, the Menara Gardens, and Majorelle Gardens. Overnight stays are at a local Riad.
DAY 10 & 11 : Marrakech – Essaouira
Travel to Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, check into a local Riad, and watch the sunset from the city walls. Enjoy fresh seafood for dinner and stroll through the picturesque streets. The next day, explore the historic Portuguese city of Mogador, its medina, beaches, and colonial fortifications, before returning to your Riad for the night.
DAY 12 : Essaouira – Marrakech (Casablanca)
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning before departing to Marrakech or Casablanca, arriving around 6 PM, where the tour concludes.
